This is me in 1938 with a partial view of the original Joseph John Goldston home behind me.

The Family Cemetery and Bear Creek are near the lightning torn tree stump behind me.

That's me in the dark shirt at Pulmonary Rehab at Wake Forest University Baptist Hospital.  I have emphysema and congestive heart failure, but am doing good to be 74.

Allan and Roland 1998.  Roland died May, 1999, with cancer.

The photo was taken in Roland's living room.  The painting behind him was done by our mother.

Roland retired in 1980 when I was building beach cottages at Sunset Beach.  We built his retirement home on the Shallotte River with a view of the ocean about a mile away.
